The State of Cyberpunk Fiction in the Asia Pacific – Free Webinar

I’m hosting an upcoming webinar this weekend on the State of Cyberpunk Fiction in the Asia Pacific. I’d love to see you there! All the speakers are experienced writers and it should be a great discussion.

Time: 3pm AEDT Saturday 20th February

Since Blade Runner, cyberpunk is a genre that has been traditionally associated with the US. It’s hard not to think of soaring skyscrapers over a futuristic San Francisco. And the recent release of games such as Cyberpunk 2077 reinforce this vision.

But exciting things are happening in the cyberpunk genre outside the US. I’ll be hosting along with five authors from the Asia Pacific region discussing technology, politics, and representation in the genre – plus hear about their latest science fiction releases.

This event will be held in partnership with Melbourne’s annual Continuum convention, and the Australia 2025 bid for Worldcon.
