Hi Kat, a Brazilian fan here. Thanks for reviewing this confusing (to say the least) ending. After playing many AC games and also this one, I felt: is it just me or the game ending is really confusing and messed up? Well, turns out I’m not the only one having a hard time making sense of all of it. Anyway, I found it just bad storytelling too.

A great write up. I think I started to wonder what was going on from the time Sigurd came back and just wandered around the longhouse. And then it just seemed to go off at a tangent with the return to Norway and the temple. After that I was a bit mortified that Basim was now in the Animus… was just… weird… And completing the last anomaly as Basim… and the story of Eivor didn’t really seem to end… it was just like… ok… one last anticlimactic battle… and then… live happily ever after. And you’re right… very much like GoT S8…

Hi Kat, I just wanted to thank you for your review because after reading it, I now know I’m finished the game. Like you, I’ve played every AC game and I was expecting to fight Aelfred as the ending but then that whole Matrix thing interrupted everything and it’s now Basim inside the animus. What a totally bizarre turn of events..

Greetings Kat 1stly, I would like to express my gratitude of how much excited I am to read your truthful thoughts & reviews about AC Valhalla Ill go straight to the point, the best & notably part that highlights the whole text was about youre mentioning Basim & Eivor both were Reincarnation of Gods Odin & Loki, hatred against each other for their past sins To be honest, I have yet to play the game as Im currently have the financial means to buy at the moment. However, upon reading your writings, I guess ill probably safe some cash to buy soon! To end my writing, Im looking forward to seeing more games & awesome tips from you soon! Have an enjoyable day!
